Idaho Gastroenterology Associates (IGA) recently hosted a community education event at their new 10 Mile location, drawing an overwhelming response from attendees across the Treasure Valley. The event, led by Dr. Morigeau, focused on fecal incontinence—a condition that affects many individuals but is often under-discussed due to stigma.

The turnout exceeded expectations, with the space reaching standing room only. Attendees gathered to learn more about causes, treatment options, and advancements in care—particularly the role of sacral nerve stimulation as a minimally invasive solution that can significantly improve, and in some cases resolve, symptoms.

Dr. Morigeau’s presentation highlighted how sacral nerve stimulation works by helping regulate communication between the brain and the bowels, offering patients a path toward restored confidence and quality of life. The discussion also emphasized that patients do not have to silently live with symptoms, as effective treatments are available.

“This level of engagement shows just how important it is to create space for open, educational conversations around GI health,” said the IGA team. “We’re proud to bring these opportunities directly to our community.”

IGA remains committed to expanding access to both care and education across the Treasure Valley. With the opening of its 10 Mile location, the organization continues to invest in community outreach and patient-centered resources.

Due to the strong interest and limited capacity at this event, IGA plans to host additional educational sessions in the future.
