Team members from Idaho Gastroenterology Associates (IGA) were proud to participate in this year’s Take Steps Walk, an annual fundraising event hosted by the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation. The walk brings together patients, families, healthcare professionals, and community supporters to raise awareness and funding for research related to inflammatory bowel disease (IBD).

Inflammatory bowel diseases—including Crohn’s disease and Ulcerative Colitis—affect millions of people and can significantly impact daily life. Events like the Take Steps Walk help advance research, improve patient resources, and build a supportive community for those living with IBD.

Walking Together for Patients and Research

The IGA team joined fellow participants from across the Treasure Valley to walk in support of individuals and families affected by Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. The event provided an opportunity for healthcare providers, patients, and community members to come together with a shared goal: improving the future of digestive health care.

As a gastroenterology practice, IGA providers care for many patients living with inflammatory bowel diseases. Participating in events organized by the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation is one way the team can support patients beyond the clinic and contribute to ongoing efforts to better understand and treat these conditions.

Supporting Digestive Health in the Treasure Valley

Community involvement is an important part of the mission at Idaho Gastroenterology Associates. In addition to providing specialized digestive health care, the practice is committed to supporting organizations and initiatives that promote education, awareness, and research for gastrointestinal conditions.

By participating in the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation walk, IGA team members were able to stand alongside patients, families, and advocates working toward better treatments—and ultimately a cure—for inflammatory bowel diseases.
