Meridian, ID – Idaho Gastroenterology Associates (IGA) is opening a new location in the Ten Mile Medical Complex at 875 S Vanguard Way, with the clinic opening March 2, 2026 and the onsite endoscopy center opening July 1, 2026.

This site previously housed gastroenterology care under Saltzer Medical Group. After Saltzer’s closure, access to local specialty GI care changed for many families - reopening this space is an exciting step in the right direction for IGA and the Treasure Valley.

“Reopening procedural access locally is an important step in expanding timely preventive care,” added Dr. Robert Lockwood, MD “With colon cancer screening ages shifting to 45 and continued growth in the Treasure Valley, this center allows us to meet patients’ needs faster and closer to home.”

Dr. John Dever, an IGA physician formerly with Saltzer’s gastroenterology team, is returning to the clinic space he once called home. He will provide the same high-quality care and warm, comforting bedside manner his patients are accustomed to. Joining forces with Dr. Dever is Crystal Rose, NP-C, who has over a decade of medical field experience and is currently seeing patients at IGA’s Boise location.

The clinic will offer evaluation and management of chronic abdominal pain, GERD, IBS, Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, liver disorders, hemorrhoid banding, and more. Beginning June 1, the endoscopy center will provide screening and diagnostic procedures including colonoscopy, endoscopy, capsule endoscopy, and more.

“Returning to this space to care for patients again is meaningful,” said Dr. John Dever. “It provides familiarity, local access, and continuity of treatment.”

Scheduling is now open for clinic visits beginning March 2 and for procedures starting July 1. Patients do not need a referral, and most major insurance plans will be accepted.
