At Idaho Gastroenterology Associates (IGA), caring for our community goes beyond patient care. This fall, members of our team were proud to participate in Rake Up Boise, a beloved annual community service event that supports seniors and individuals with disabilities across the Treasure Valley.
Organized by NeighborWorks Boise, Rake Up Boise brings together thousands of volunteers each year to help local homeowners prepare their yards for winter by raking leaves and providing basic yard cleanup. The program helps residents who may not be physically able to manage seasonal yard work on their own.
Giving Back to the Boise Community
Volunteers from Idaho Gastroenterology Associates spent the morning working together to clear leaves and tidy up a local yard. While the work was simple, the impact was meaningful—helping ensure that a neighbor’s home was safer and easier to maintain heading into the colder months.
Community service events like Rake Up Boise reflect IGA’s commitment to supporting the health and wellbeing of the communities we serve throughout the Treasure Valley, including Boise, Meridian, Nampa, and surrounding areas.
“Being part of Rake Up Boise is a great reminder that healthcare is about more than what happens inside a clinic,” said members of the IGA team. “It’s about caring for our neighbors and supporting the community that supports us.”
Community Involvement Matters
At Idaho Gastroenterology Associates, we believe strong communities are built through collaboration, compassion, and service. Participating in events like Rake Up Boise allows our team to connect with local residents while contributing to programs that make a real difference for vulnerable members of our community.
From providing specialized digestive health care to volunteering locally, our mission remains the same: improving the health and wellbeing of the people who call the Treasure Valley home.
We are grateful to NeighborWorks Boise for organizing this incredible event and to the many volunteers who help make it possible each year.
