Dr. Gupta completed his medical school from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) New Delhi, India. He did his internal medicine residency at the University of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, PA. He then went on to complete a gastroenterology and hepatology fellowship at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
He was in private practice for a year in Wichita, KS, before moving to Boise in 2013 and joining IGA. In his spare time, he enjoys skiing, kayaking, mountain biking and travelling. He is married to Dr. Neetu Talreja, an allergy immunology physician practicing in the Valley. He has a special interest in clinical research, and is currently an investigator in several clinical trials.
