Dr. Tomal grew up in the suburbs of Chicago. He completed medical school and his internal medicine residency at the University of Chicago. He then completed a gastroenterology fellowship at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. Dr. Tomal treats all aspects of gastroenterology and hepatology, but he has a special interest in eosinophilic esophagitis, hemorrhoid banding, and colon cancer screening.
When he is not working, he enjoys spending time in the outdoors, exercising, and reading.
